support
Caring for a child with a brain injury can at times feel isolating. The grief and pain associated with the 'loss' of an expectation to have a healthy child is often extremely overwhleming. As a result, parents and carers can feel very alone. Whether you are experiencing the grief of a new diagnosis or have been living with an existing one, having access to the right kind of support is crucial. The 'right' kind of support can vary from person to person, although, often the best kind of support comes from surrounding yourself with people going through similar highs and lows, who can empathise and just listen. It is empowering to know that you are in fact, not alone.
Perfect Spirit promotes a network of support, offering education, inclusion and most importantly the opportunity for families to gain confidence in the decisions they make for their children. Through conscious, positive encouragement of each other, we can better support our children in a positive and nurturing way that enables them to be the best they can be. Whilst all points of view are respected, we discourage judgment and ignorance for these do not help our children.
